Summary

Being a noble is not something Sean ever wanted, but life just propelled him along noble paths。 First, he was an Aspirant, then a Knight, and finally, he had become a Lord。 In the end, he stopped fighting it, realizing that he would need the social status to keep his promise to Myna and avenge the deaths at Oakwood。

Leaving Hearthglen behind, the family moved to the center of Queendom, the city of Accord。 As the most important city in the Queendom, Accord had been Shaped from the ground up around the central tree that towered above every other structure in the city。 The gigantic tree housed all of the city functions, and was the first project the Queens had undertaken on this world。

Sean and his family began to build the allies they could, knowing that Accord would see them dealing with more politics。 Hallie set out to make allies with the lesser nobles— with the help of Dame Daria Iceblood— leaving Sean free to focus on his new healing clinic。 After all, healing could give him the chance to win more people over。

Little did they know that the one they sought to undermine, Lord Truestrike, was already making strides toward his own plans。 Soon, Accord would bear witness to two nobles vying to pull each other down… though hopefully without invoking the ire of the Advisor。

Another great addition。I love how this story keeps evolving。 It's like reading a really good soap opera with magic。 I also appreciate that the story doesn't end on a cliffhanger, but at the same time keeps me in tetherhooks wait for the next installment。 Keep up the amazing work。 Another great addition。I love how this story keeps evolving。 It's like reading a really good soap opera with magic。 I also appreciate that the story doesn't end on a cliffhanger, but at the same time keeps me in tetherhooks wait for the next installment。 Keep up the amazing work。 。。。more

it’s book 9Seriously。 Reading reviews at this point is ludicrous。 Oh all right。A lot of the usual stuff。 Some build up towards confrontation, but things stay at a slow boil。 Hints of a deeper resolution cropped up, especially towards the end。I will continue to follow this series。

nope I at first really enjoyed this series。 The harem aspect is fine as long as you don’t keep forever adding new ones, especially if they are only there to boost the main characters ego “oh sir you are so kind and sexy and you saved us all” this book has so many vapid relationship moments it started to make me cringe。 I came for the slice of life and pretty much all I got was dribble about how amazing the mc is and how everyone loves him, the actual story I felt is moving quite slowly which wou nope I at first really enjoyed this series。 The harem aspect is fine as long as you don’t keep forever adding new ones, especially if they are only there to boost the main characters ego “oh sir you are so kind and sexy and you saved us all” this book has so many vapid relationship moments it started to make me cringe。 I came for the slice of life and pretty much all I got was dribble about how amazing the mc is and how everyone loves him, the actual story I felt is moving quite slowly which would be fine if the crafting base building aspects that I appreciated in the previous books was more prevalent so disappointed。 。。。more

Rating 4。0 stars A good continuation of the series。 Things are progressing in the story。 So while this is absolutely a slice of life story, there has been developments with the overall plot。 We find out more about the queens and their deal with the Tuatha。 Things are progressing with Truestrike。 There is some action but also a lot of healing and crafting。 Overall a good addition to the series。

The long fight has started。 The slow build up is finally almost done。 Sean has been doing what he does best。 Combining disparate people into allies。 I am dying to know what happens next。

Excellent SagaSean and his wives are navigating the rapids and whirlpools of society in Accord。 So far he's defeated or thwarted Lord Truestrike's attempts to bring down him or his allies。 Things are heating up how will they manage what is to come? I'm anxiously awaiting the next book! If you haven't started this series do so! Excellent but very sugary I enjoy Daniel’s books with the way he can make you feel the characters emotions, to which I enjoy a good fantasy romance。 This book has a lot less sexual content than most of his books with fade to black happening in this book。 The excessive number of wives still give me occasional trouble remembering who is who by name。 Loving the crafting and world building aspects of the book series as well。Overall a really good read if a bit sugary with all the love talk between hi Excellent but very sugary I enjoy Daniel’s books with the way he can make you feel the characters emotions, to which I enjoy a good fantasy romance。 This book has a lot less sexual content than most of his books with fade to black happening in this book。 The excessive number of wives still give me occasional trouble remembering who is who by name。 Loving the crafting and world building aspects of the book series as well。Overall a really good read if a bit sugary with all the love talk between him, his wives and staff。 。。。more

Great series, excited to continue reading itThis is my favorite series by this author and Ive read most of them。 Excellent world building and detail of family life for the MC。 Its amusing how hung up he is with the interaction of the women in his harem and those that will be joining it。 Also enjoy the crafting and business acumen that is being dislpayed as the MC and his family navigate the treacherous waters of the movers and shakers in the cities he has visited。 Since he has leveled his family Great series, excited to continue reading itThis is my favorite series by this author and Ive read most of them。 Excellent world building and detail of family life for the MC。 Its amusing how hung up he is with the interaction of the women in his harem and those that will be joining it。 Also enjoy the crafting and business acumen that is being dislpayed as the MC and his family navigate the treacherous waters of the movers and shakers in the cities he has visited。 Since he has leveled his family and allies, Im looking forward to seeing Lord Truestrike's minions and catspaws move against the Macdougal clan and get reamed because they are all demigod warriors。。。。 Surprise, not just pretty faces! Then those who stand against him end up in the bog and throw their former allies under the bus。 Finally Truestrike's toadies and his fiancee turn against him when he is revealed for the snake in the grass that he really is, before he too claims his reservation in the bog for his sins。I know this this book just came out, but l cant wait for the next one。 I will have to do a re-read of the series to tide me over until the next book launch。 。。。more

We get more intrigue in Accord this volume。 Truestrike is not as blatant as Sharpeyes。 We get some unrest in the city and Sean and his family's answer to it。 Sean makes more waves with the healers in the city and begins to learn more about the Tuatha's Agreement with the Queens。There is some foreshadowing of where I think the series will end, but it is the journey that matters。I will say the cast of characters is too large for my taste。 Some characters just do not get enough time in the spotligh We get more intrigue in Accord this volume。 Truestrike is not as blatant as Sharpeyes。 We get some unrest in the city and Sean and his family's answer to it。 Sean makes more waves with the healers in the city and begins to learn more about the Tuatha's Agreement with the Queens。There is some foreshadowing of where I think the series will end, but it is the journey that matters。I will say the cast of characters is too large for my taste。 Some characters just do not get enough time in the spotlight。 。。。more

Now that Sean and family are in the city of Accord, things start to get interesting。 As usual, most of the book is taken up with crafting, family, and tiny bits of action。 In book 9, most of what happens is a reaction to other events。 The problem is that no one, from the advisor to the head of police can't prove it。 Add in a third variable and it gets tough。 Book 9 is very much a continuation of the series。 It's very warmhearted, although I noticed Sean was on a very short fuse when it came to s Now that Sean and family are in the city of Accord, things start to get interesting。 As usual, most of the book is taken up with crafting, family, and tiny bits of action。 In book 9, most of what happens is a reaction to other events。 The problem is that no one, from the advisor to the head of police can't prove it。 Add in a third variable and it gets tough。 Book 9 is very much a continuation of the series。 It's very warmhearted, although I noticed Sean was on a very short fuse when it came to slights about his wives or family。 I have a feeling the end of the series isn't too far away。 The queen's are mentioned quite frequently in this book, along with other historic references to the huntsman and other beings。 Which I realize makes this sound like a take on a famous Disney movie, but there you go。 5/5* 。。。more
